Participation in the CA process

More than 90 international & national research institutes, as well as local, regional, national and international organizations active in water, agriculture, and environment are participating to the CA through specific research & development projects.

• The CA taps into the considerable scientific weight of the CGIAR’s Future Harvest agricultural research system, and a number of other key partners such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the RAMSAR Convention.
• A range of partners – universities, local research organizations, and advanced scientific institutes – join the team to bring local knowledge, and environmental, health and other agricultural expertise to this research program.
• International networks and programs support knowledge sharing and consultation process of the CA, in particular the Global Water Partnership (GWP) and the World Water Council (WWC).
• The International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD)
• It is an open process where anybody too can participate
• For the assessment synthesis book there are fourteen author teams writing chapters, including a wider network of contributing authors.
