Roundtable meeting on greywater

Supported by WLE and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) will facilitate a roundtable discussion on the Jordanian and Egyptian experiences related to research, adaptation and adoption of greywater reuse systems at the household level. The roundtable discussion will be held at the Holiday Inn in Amman from 9am to 4pm on the 7th of November. Participants representing research, development and civil society organizations, regulatory authorities and individual household adopters from both countries will discuss opportunities and avenues available for enhancing innovations systems, such that broad uptake is both economically and environmentally sustainable, and equitable in terms of gendered access to inputs, services and outcomes. A synthesis of the discussions will be made available publicly, in order to inform both regulatory and developmental policy, as well as ongoing research within the broad area of water reuse in agricultural production.
