WLE: big benefits for people and nature

The CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE) is happy to announce that its 2013 Annual Report is now available. For WLE, 2013 was a year when the program refocused its work and began to articulate its ecosystem based approach.

This annual report showcases 12 stories that highlight the types of outcomes that WLE aims to achieve. The stories demonstrate how different research outputs are being produced; from databases to new farming practices, modeling tools and even business models for decision-makers.

Through its stories of change the report provides a window into WLE’s research agenda and the types of outcomes it is working to achieve.

Each story underscore the program’s message that good management of, and equitable access to, water, land and ecosystems are prerequisites for sustainable agriculture and economic development.

These stories highlight the diverse issues tackled within the program and demonstrate the impetus for greater success for WLE and its partners in the future.
