The Policy Studies Organization (PSO) is hosting the Dupont Summit on Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy on Friday, Dec. 4 at the Historic Whittemore House in Washington DC. The summit will address the multiple dimensions and challenges of water policy.
Claudia Ringler, IFPRI scientist and co-Leader of the Managing Resource Variability and Competing Use (MRV) Research Theme, has organized a panel discussion made up of IFPRI and IWMI scientists, titled "Agricultural Water Management: Confluence of Policies, Institutions, and Technologies." The panel will look at how investing in technologies is insufficient on its own to enact effective agricultural water management, and will explore the importance of accompanying context appropriate policies and institutions.
