Objective of this study is to identify and analyze the impacts of irrigation that go beyond the normal benefit-cost relationship on agricultural productivity - derived from intensification, diversification and subsequent improvement on food security conditions - for a particular country, region or state (as a function of information availability). The study also seeks to develop a methodology that will allow integration and quantification of other impacts derived from the interaction or response to irrigation of other factors, such as social conditions, generation of rural employment, improvement of livelihoods, the environment, health etc.
