The project purpose is to develop a methodology for identifying the agro-environments in West Asia and North Africa (WANA), from agroecological and production system perspectives, where supplemental irrigation can maximize water use efficiency, and where water harvesting is likely to lead to substantial increases in yield and incomes. The methodology will be developed and tested in two pilot countries: Syria and Tunisia.
