Douglas Varchol is a SE Asian-based filmmaker, producer and writer who has spent over a decade tramping through forests, fording rivers and wading through swamps to capture good footage. He has over fifteen years of professional experience creating science, history and cultural programming for, among others, The History Channel, and PBS in the U.S., as well as Discovery Channel Europe and BBC World News in the U.K. He has also produced a number of films for CPWF and WLE including, Water Maker in the Clouds, Beels of Bangladesh, and Mekong - The Movie.
