Dr. Ayşegül Özkavukcu is currently working as a Business Development Manager for Migros Ticaret A.Ş. which is a pioneer in retail business in Turkey. She also serves as the technical representative for Migros Ticaret A.Ş. in the OP2B (One Planet Business for Biodiversity) coalition. She has previously worked for Arçelik A.Ş., one of the biggest durable goods firms in Turkey for over six years. Dr. Özkavukcu developed her core industrial engineering skills and Lean Six Sigma tools applying and adapting theories to real life problems. She then led the lean transformation journey of Tekso Teknik Soğutma Tic. A.Ş. which is a small and medium sized business for almost two years. She joined Migros IT & Business Development in 2015 and is responsible for both technological and radical process innovation projects. She and her team conduct several R&D projects and they aim for patent application and/or publication via paper submission and conferences proceedings.
Dr. Özkavukcu received her Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University Industrial Engineering Department in 2017. Her research interests include new product design and development, lean thinking, technological innovation, customer value chain, six sigma and basic machine learning algorithms, and strategic management - policy deployment – hoshin kanri. She has authored several patents and publications on these topics. She is a guest lecturer at İTÜSEM lean management program which is managed by İstanbul Technical University.
