The WASH SDG is a five year programme of 59M undertaken by SNV, Plan and WAI partners, funded by the Dutch Government. The WAI is an alliance of organisations working on WASH. The principal objective of the WAI is to promote and support the development of a sustainable WASH sector, ensuring safe and sustainable WASH services for all people in marginalised areas. WAI consists of 9 Dutch and over 100 local partners. RUAF supports nexus and demand creation at the end of the pipe, and with WAI partners, analyses and supports RRR financial models, public-private partnership models, policy advice and materials for curricula. It will contribute to development of innovative finance mechanisms and (social) business models.
RUAF will work in Nepal, Bangladesh, Ethiopia and Uganda. The inception phase is from 1 September 2017 - 31 May 2018.
