Marilia Magalhaes is an independent consultant working for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). She has previously worked as a consultant for Embrapa (the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) and the World Bank.
Marilia holds an MCP in international development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2008), and Masters in environmental economics and management (2002) and BA in economics (1999), both from University of Brasília.
