Karthikeyan Matheswaran is Regional Researcher - Water Productivity at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). His areas of expertise include water resources management, remote sensing-based water productivity assessments, hydrological modelling and collaborative water management tools.
Before joining IWMI, Karthi worked as a Research Fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Thailand, leading projects on the development of web-based tools for monitoring riverbank erosion in Myanmar, and Water Evaluation and Planning (WEAP)-based Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) models.
He has a PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from Roskilde University, Denmark and an ME in Hydrology and Water Resources from Anna University, Chennai.
