Dr. Chris Dickens is Head of Office of the Southern African office of IWMI (International Water Management Institute) based in Pretoria South Africa. He has 26 years’ experience monitoring the health of rivers especially in Africa, and has pioneered various approaches, written monitoring methods and programs, and written policy for countries across Africa, that deal with managing the ecosystems of rivers.
