Balsher Singh Sidhu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Resources, Environment, and Sustainability program at University of British Columbia, Vancouver. His research focuses on the relationship between climate variability and agriculture. Specifically, he is studying irrigation strategies that can improve India's crop yields with the dual objectives of adapting to climate change and minimizing adverse environmental impacts of the food system. He is a recipient of UBC’s Four-Year Fellowship and the NSERC Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
