Communications lead, CGIAR Excellence in Breeding (EiB) Platform
Adam leads communications for the CGIAR Excellence in Breeding (EiB) Platform hosted by CIMMYT. From 2017-20, Adam served as the Global Head of Communications for CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE), leading global communications, knowledge management, and engagement teams and initiatives. Previously, Adam led Southeast Asian media development programs for Internews’ Earth Journalism Network, overseeing strategic communications for a USAID regional governance project, facilitating a network of environmental journalists, training local media and civil society, and serving as founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Mekong Eye. Previously, with Internews Adam supported exiled Burmese journalists and political groups in the pre-transition years. Adam has also led programs with the APEC Secretariat in Singapore, Pathways to Education in his hometown of Toronto, and communications for a Canada/Brazil governance project. Adam has an MA in Planning (International Development) from UBC, and BA’s in Journalism and Sociology.
