Interactive Online Workshop: Landscape Restoration - can it improve water security in Sweden and beyond?

• 10:15 - 14:30 (Stockholm time zone)

Listen to an eminent panel of speakers, including our WLE Program Director Izabella Koziell, as they highlight the opportunities that landscape restoration provides for improved water management, climate change adaptation, biodiversity and sustainable economic development.

Safe access to clean water is a growing challenge, and Sweden is no exception. Landscape restoration can provide a solution for improving water security whilst simultaneously benefitting people and the environment. Global warming, extended periods of drought and increasingly erratic precipitation patterns are presenting unprecedented challenges and put pressure on water-related ecosystem services which our landscape's productivity is reliant on.

These services are also crucial to the achieving many of the SDGs, something that ‘The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration’ is aiming to highlight. We believe that Swedish actors also can contribute to this and hope you want to join us in exploring this opportunity!
