When it comes to next steps, WLE is establishing a Commission on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification (CoSAI). Leading experts from the Global South are set to chart a course for decision makers to better invest in the right innovations for more sustainable food production. Pulling together years of work with the best of global expertise, CoSAI will tackle challenging questions on how to advance sustainability and recommend priority areas for international support.

“WLE has built a powerful legacy across an array of sectors, improving the work of partners across the globe,” says WLE Program Director Izabella Koziell. “These next two years will cement that legacy and drive forward some real solutions for more and better food, healthier landscapes, and increased equity.”

WLE achieved some major policy, innovation and capacity contributions towards CGIAR five major global impacts in 2019-20: Environment, Climate, Gender, Poverty and Nutrition. Our contributions include evidenced results, documented in WLE’s rigorous annual reporting process.
