Edoardo Borgomeo is a water sector specialist whose expertise focuses upon the engineering and policy dimensions of freshwater resources management, with an emphasis on climate change and infrastructure planning.
Edoardo worked for the World Bank, the International Water Management Institute and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, offering consulting and advisory services on water policy issues across Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa and Asia. He has also assisted water utilities and regulators in England in their efforts to include climate change in their long-range plans.
Edoardo holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford where he is now an honorary research associate. In 2018 he was awarded the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (8th award) with Professor Jim Hall for their work on water resources planning in times of climate change.
