Kachin State in Northern Myanmar is the site of rapid ecological change and social dynamism. Planning for development has historically be hampered by conflict and fierce competition for resources. One WLE Greater Mekong project is researching how to better manage the landscape, both physical and social, in this complex and rich environment. Filmmaker Douglas Varchol reports from the field.
