The CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE) and Global Rice Science Partnership (GRiSP) recently hosted a two-day workshop in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to kick-start the Polder Community Water Management project. The project aims to improve food security, nutrition and livelihoods in the Bangladesh coastal zone through sustainable, intensive agriculture and improved drainage management. The project is led by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in close collaboration with the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), BRAC, WorldFish, Blue Gold, Shushilan and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
